Becase we have been overwhelmed by inquiries due to recent press and media attention, we ask that that you please read the information below before contacting us. You may have heard about devices and methods developed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison or Wicab, Inc. intended to help persons with balance, vision, and other neurological impairments. TCNL, which is a laboratory in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, has developed and is actively developing a number of technologies intended to help persons with sensory impairments as well as other neurological impairments such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, and stroke.
Technologies for balance and vision impairments are becoming commercially available through our commercial partner Wicab, Inc., under the BrainPort trademark. Many more technologies are still in the experimental stage at TCNL. TCNL and Wicab, Inc. are separate organizations. Please address your inquiry depending on your needs and interests as described below.
